|
The hermitage (paḷḷi) (is the gift) of Koṟṟantai of Nāḻal.

1. The puḷḷi is marked to the left of the respective letters. Note the puḷḷi in ko to indicate the short medial vowel -o.
2. Only the upper half of the letter with the medial stroke -i is preserved.
3. The last letter is yi as verified by the CICT Ta. Br. Photographic Survey.
4. Read nāḻal. cf. LT ñaḻal / nāḻal 'a flowering tree'. The word occurs here as a place name.
